The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 80 regencies/cities with weekly tracing rates above the national average, currently recorded at 2.02 percent as of Monday, December 26, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with tracing rates exceeding 22 percent are Metro City, West Lombok, East Jakarta City, Tasikmalaya, and Bima, with values of 24 percent, 23 percent, 22.92 percent, 22 percent, and 22 percent respectively.
A national Covid data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that tracing in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. Daily tracing rates higher than before were recorded in 11 regencies/cities, while 12 regencies/cities recorded lower tracing rates.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest tracing rates include Metro City, West Lombok, and Bima, with tracing rates of 24 percent, 23 percent, and 22 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
