The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 44 regencies/cities with a number of deaths due to agglomeration from COVID-19 above the national average, currently recorded at 0 per 100,000 population per week, data as of Friday, March 24, 2023.
The five regencies/cities with the highest number of deaths due to COVID-19 agglomeration, with figures exceeding 0.15 per 100,000 population per week, are Karimun, Tarakan City, Palangkaraya City, Palu City, and Madiun, with values of 0.41, 0.37, 0.33, 0.24, and 0.15 per 100,000 population per week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national COVID-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that the number of deaths due to COVID-19 agglomeration in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. The number of daily deaths due to COVID-19 agglomeration higher than before was recorded in 0 regencies/cities, and nine regencies/cities recorded a lower number of deaths due to COVID-19 agglomeration.
Areas outside Java with the highest number of deaths due to COVID-19 agglomeration include Karimun, Tarakan City, and Palangkaraya City, with 0.41, 0.37, and 0.33 deaths per 100,000 population per week, respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
