Most recipients of the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine are from Java.

The Ministry of Health recorded that 49.4 million people in Indonesia had received their first dose of the Covid-19 coronavirus vaccine by Friday, August 6, 2021, at 12:00 WIB. Of this number, 31.30 million people, or 63.37%, were from the island of Java.

Meanwhile, a total of 7.96 million people on the island of Sumatra received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine. This is equivalent to 16.11% of the total first doses administered nationwide.

Furthermore, 4.28 million people in Bali and Nusa Tenggara received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine. Another 3.32 million people who received their first dose were in Sulawesi.

Kalimantan follows with a total of 2.14 million people who have received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine. Meanwhile, the first dose vaccination in Maluku and Papua only covers 893,000 people.

Although the coronavirus vaccination program is underway, the public is urged to remain disciplined in implementing the 3M health protocols: wearing masks, maintaining distance, and washing hands with soap. This is important to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
