Serang Regency residents spend Rp2,71 per capita per week on other tubers.

The average expenditure of people in Serang Regency to buy other tubers in 2023 was Rp2.71 per capita per week. This figure surged compared to the previous year's expenditure, which was recorded at Rp2.05 per capita per week.

The five largest expenditures of residents for the tuber group in Serang Regency, in descending order, were spent on cassava/tapioca Rp702.11 per capita per week, potatoes Rp576.03 per capita per week, sweet potatoes Rp394.52 per capita per week, taro Rp27.35 per capita per week, and the lowest expenditure was for other tubers at Rp2.71 per capita per week.

Average per capita expenditure is the cost incurred for the consumption of all household members for a month, whether from purchases, gifts, or self-production, divided by the number of household members. Household consumption is distinguished between food and non-food consumption, regardless of the origin of the goods, and is limited to household needs only, excluding consumption/expenditure for business purposes or given to others.

Expenditure for food consumption is calculated for a week, while for non-food consumption it is calculated for a month and the previous 12 months. Both food and non-food consumption are then converted into average monthly expenditure. The average per capita consumption/expenditure figures presented in BPS publications are obtained by dividing the total consumption of all households (both consuming food and not) by the total population.

Based on region, the highest expenditure for purchasing other tubers was in South Buton Regency and the lowest in Dharmasraya Regency. For Serang Regency, the nominal expenditure for purchasing other tubers was ranked 317.5. Meanwhile, the national average per capita expenditure for purchasing other tubers is Rp194.5 per capita per week.
