Bali's Star-Rated Hotel Occupancy Rate Rose to 17.73% in October 2021

The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) reported that the Hotel Occupancy Rate (HOR) for star-rated hotels in Bali in October 2021 was recorded at 17.73%. This figure is up 8.27 percentage points compared to the September 2021 HOR (m-o-m) of 9.46%.

Compared to October 2020 (y-o-y), which reached 9.53%, the October 2021 HOR increased by 8.2 percentage points.

The increase in HOR (y-o-y) occurred across all classes of star-rated hotels, with the highest increase in the 1-star hotel class at 20.43 percentage points.

In October 2021, only 2 foreign tourist visits were recorded arriving directly in Bali. Compared to October 2020, the number of foreign tourist visits to Bali was significantly higher, at 63 visits. Thus, the arrival of foreign tourists in October 2021 showed a decrease of 96.83%.

The average length of stay for foreign and domestic guests at star-rated hotels in Bali was 1.92 days in October 2021, up 0.09 points compared to the September 2021 achievement (m-t-m) which was recorded at 1.83 days.

Compared to October 2020 (y-o-y), the average length of stay for total guests (foreign and Indonesian) decreased by 0.27 points, from 2.19 days to 1.92 days in October 2021.
