The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 50 districts/cities with weekly agglomeration tracing above the national average, currently recorded at 1.16 percent as of Friday, January 13, 2023.
The top five districts/cities with tracing rates exceeding 22 percent are Tasikmalaya, Semarang City, Metro City, Surabaya City, and Sidoarjo, with values of 27 percent, 26.67 percent, 25 percent, 22 percent, and 22 percent respectively.
A national Covid data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in tracing in most districts/cities outside Java. Five districts/cities recorded higher daily tracing figures than before, while four districts/cities recorded lower tracing figures.
Areas outside Java with the highest tracing rates include Metro City, West Lombok, and Balikpapan City, with tracing rates of 25 percent, 20 percent, and 18 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
