Several districts/cities in East Java province still record relatively low vaccination rates compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include Pamekasan Regency, Sampang Regency, and Bangkalan Regency.
As of Thursday, February 3, 2022, these three regencies had only completed 1.36 million doses of the first vaccine shot out of a target of 2.22 million vaccine recipients.
Pamekasan Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, this region has only recorded 46.12% vaccination coverage, the lowest among the other 38 districts/cities. The vaccination program in this regency targets 652,820 recipients. The average weekly vaccination rate in this area was 1,416 recipients. The available vaccine stock is 68,627 doses.
Next is Sampang Regency, which has the second-lowest vaccination rate. With a target of 740,930 vaccine recipients, vaccination in this area has reached 66.5%, or 492,690 recipients. The average weekly vaccination rate in this area was 4,578 recipients. The available vaccine stock is 49,273 doses.
Bangkalan Regency is ranked third. With a target of 825,180 vaccine recipients, vaccination in this area has reached 68.37%, or 564,160 recipients. The average weekly vaccination rate in this area was 3,958 recipients. The available vaccine stock is 57,477 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first dose vaccination in East Java has reached 86.49%, covering 27.53 million vaccine recipients. The second dose vaccination has reached 63.26%, covering 20.13 million vaccine recipients.
