Several districts/cities in South Kalimantan province still record relatively low vaccination rates compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include Barito Kuala Regency, Banjar Regency, and North Hulu Sungai Regency.
As of Thursday, January 27, 2022, these three regencies had only completed 635,730 first doses of the vaccine out of the targeted 863,180 vaccine recipients.
Barito Kuala Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, this region has completed 72.5% of its vaccination program. This is the lowest rate among the 13 other districts/cities. The vaccination program in this regency targets 244,700 participants. The average weekly vaccination rate last week was 4,332 participants. The available vaccine stock is 142,920 doses.
Next is Banjar Regency, which has the second-lowest vaccination rate. With a target of 442,250 vaccine recipients, vaccination in this region has reached 74%, or 327,360 recipients. The average weekly vaccination rate last week was 12,313 participants. The available vaccine stock is 17,996 doses.
North Hulu Sungai Regency is ranked third. With a target of 176,230 vaccine recipients, vaccination in this region has reached 74.3%, or 130,870 recipients. The average weekly vaccination rate last week was 2,503 participants. The available vaccine stock is 11,094 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first dose vaccination in South Kalimantan has reached 82.38%, covering 2.6 million vaccine recipients. The second dose vaccination has reached 44.62%, covering 1.41 million vaccine recipients.
