The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 79 regencies/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 1.59 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Sunday, December 11, 2022.
The five top regencies/cities with inpatient use exceeding 7.85 patients per 100,000 population/week are Surakarta City, Central Jakarta City, Kediri City, Madiun City, and Banda Aceh City, with values of 10.2 patients per 100,000 population/week, 9.96 patients per 100,000 population/week, 9.9 patients per 100,000 population/week, 9.53 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 7.85 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient use in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A higher than previous daily inpatient use was recorded in 32 regencies/cities, while 36 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Banda Aceh City, Teluk Bintuni, and Palangkaraya City, with inpatient use of 7.85 patients per 100,000 population/week, 5.79 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 4.73 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
