Jakarta's Air Pollution Levels Rise Again

Based on Air Quality Index data from Monday (July 8th), Jakarta's pollution level reached 154. This figure indicates that the air quality in the capital is unhealthy.

Although pollution levels in Jakarta have generally decreased over the past week, today's reading increased by 13 points compared to the previous day. Jakarta ranks third globally as the most polluted city in the world, after Santiago, Chile, and Shanghai, China.

The highest air pollution levels were recorded in Rawamangun and Mangga Dua Selatan, both at 155 points. Pejaten Barat followed with 153 points. Meanwhile, Pegadungan and the United States Embassy in South Jakarta recorded pollution levels of 138 and 134 points, respectively.

Kemayoran and the United States Embassy in Central Jakarta ranked sixth and seventh with values of 99 and 95 points, respectively.
