The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) notes that at least one regency/city has a Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR) above 60%. Nationally, the average BOR this week is 1.9 percent. This is down from 2.09 percent last week, based on data from Tuesday, May 31, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with COVID-19 BORs above 30 percent are Fakfak (100 percent), Malinau (40 percent), Manggarai Timur (37.5 percent), Sitaro (33.33 percent), and Musi Rawas Utara (30 percent).
A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that the BOR in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. Thirty-four regencies/cities recorded a higher daily BOR than the previous day, while 54 regencies/cities recorded a lower BOR.
Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Fakfak (100 percent), Malinau (40 percent), and Manggarai Timur (37.5 percent).
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
