Expenditure of Aceh Tenggara Regency Residents on Nuts: Rp1,723.46 per Capita per Week

The average expenditure of residents in Aceh Tenggara Regency for purchasing legumes in 2023 was Rp1,723.46 per capita per week. This figure is lower than the previous year's expenditure, which was recorded at Rp1,864.99 per capita per week.

The five largest expenditure items for legumes in Aceh Tenggara Regency, in descending order, were: tempeh (Rp816.47 per capita per week), tofu (Rp783.73 per capita per week), unshelled peanuts (Rp96.52 per capita per week), soybeans (Rp22.4 per capita per week), and the lowest was oncom (Rp1.69 per capita per week).

Average per capita expenditure is the cost incurred for the consumption of all household members over a month, including purchases, gifts, and self-produced goods, divided by the number of household members. Household consumption is categorized into food and non-food consumption, regardless of the origin of the goods, and is limited to household needs only, excluding consumption/expenditure for business purposes or given to others.

Expenditure on food consumption is calculated weekly, while non-food consumption is calculated monthly and for the past 12 months. Both food and non-food consumption are then converted into average monthly expenditure. The average per capita consumption/expenditure figures presented in BPS publications are obtained by dividing the total consumption of all households (both consuming food and non-food items) by the total population.

According to the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) publication, the average per capita expenditure in this regency reached Rp1.06 million per capita per month in March 2023. This figure increased by 4.74% compared to March 2022, which was Rp1.01 million per capita per month.

Based on region, the highest household expenditure on legumes was in Puncak Jaya Regency and the lowest in Mamberamo Raya Regency. Aceh Tenggara Regency ranked 427th in terms of legume expenditure. Meanwhile, the national average per capita expenditure for purchasing legumes is Rp257.5 per capita per week.
