Restaurants Have the Lowest Mask Compliance Rate

The national average mask-wearing compliance rate was recorded at 87.53% from April 26 to May 2, 2021. However, several crowded locations still had compliance rates below this average.

Restaurants and cafes had the lowest mask-wearing compliance rate at 57.69%. The next location with a mask-wearing compliance rate lower than the national average was residential areas, at 77.57%.

Mask-wearing compliance rates in public sports venues and markets were 86.13% and 86.57%, respectively. In traditional markets, the mask-wearing compliance rate was 87.32%.

The public needs to consistently wear masks when engaging in outdoor activities to prevent the transmission of the Covid-19 coronavirus. In addition, the public must be disciplined in maintaining social distancing and washing hands with soap.
