The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 34 regencies/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 0.51 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Sunday, May 22, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient use, exceeding 1.72 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Sorong, Sukamara, Tojo Una Una, Blitar City, and Metro City, with respective values of 5.21 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2.98 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2.54 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2.07 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 1.72 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A national Covid data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient use in most regencies/cities outside Java. Eight regencies/cities recorded higher daily inpatient use than before, while seven regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Sorong, Sukamara, and Tojo Una Una, with inpatient use of 5.21 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2.98 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 2.54 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
