The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 88 regencies/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 2.75 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Monday, November 7, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient use, exceeding 15.7 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Central Jakarta, Yogyakarta City, Mojokerto City, Kediri City, and Banda Aceh City, with respective values of 21.45 patients per 100,000 population/week, 20.67 patients per 100,000 population/week, 17.42 patients per 100,000 population/week, 16.73 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 15.7 patients per 100,000 population/week.
National Covid data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient use in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A higher than previous daily inpatient use was recorded in 41 regencies/cities, while 55 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Banda Aceh City, Bontang City, and Toli-Toli, with respective inpatient use rates of 15.7 patients per 100,000 population/week, 13.48 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 10.8 patients per 100,000 population/week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
