Payment for Regular Hajj Pilgrimage Costs (Bipih) for the 1444 H period or 2023 CE has opened today, April 11, 2023. This is based on the provisions of the Minister of Religious Affairs Decree (KMA) Number 352 of 2023 concerning Regular Hajj Pilgrimage Costs (Bipih) 1444 H and the Use of Benefit Value.
“The Minister of Religious Affairs has issued the KMA for Regular Bipih. Payment is open from April 11 to May 5, 2023,” said Director General of Hajj and Umrah Organization of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Hilman Latief, as quoted from a press release on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.
Hilman stated that this KMA regulates the Bipih for regular Hajj pilgrims, regional Hajj officers (PHD), and guides at Hajj and Umrah Worship Groups (KBIHU). Furthermore, he said, the payment period and the amount of Hajj Pilgrimage Organizing Costs (BPIH) sourced from benefit value are also regulated.
“If, by the deadline, there are still unfilled quotas, the payment period can be extended and will be determined by the Director General of PHU,” said Hilman.
He continued, the amount of Bipih for regular Hajj pilgrims is used for Hajj flight costs, living costs, and part of the Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina service costs.
Meanwhile, the Bipih for PHD and KBIHU is used for flight costs; accommodation; meals; transportation; services in Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina; protection; services at embarkation or disembarkation; immigration services; and insurance premiums and other protection. Then, for travel documents; living costs; Hajj pilgrim guidance in Indonesia and Saudi Arabia; general services in Indonesia and Saudi Arabia; and BPIH management.
