Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest National Tracing Rates (Tuesday, May 31, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 77 regencies/cities with weekly tracing rates above the national average, currently recorded at 2.17 percent as of Tuesday, May 31, 2022.

The top five regencies/cities with tracing rates exceeding 25 percent are Lombok Barat (42 percent), Surabaya City (30.5 percent), Cianjur (30 percent), Semarang City (28.33 percent), and Simalungun (25 percent).

A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that tracing in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily increase in tracing was recorded in one regency/city, while eight regencies/cities recorded lower tracing rates.

Areas outside Java with the highest tracing rates include Lombok Barat (42 percent), Simalungun (25 percent), and Batam City (23 percent).

Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
