The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) notes that at least one regency/city has a Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR) above 60%. Nationally, the average BOR this week is 2.17 percent. This is an increase compared to last week's figure of 2.15 percent, data as of Wednesday, March 1, 2023.
The top five regencies/cities with COVID-19 BOR exceeding 40.3 percent are Fakfak, Bima, Muna, Balangan, and Bengkulu Utara, with values of 100 percent, 57.14 percent, 52.5 percent, 50 percent, and 40.3 percent respectively.
A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the BOR of most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily BOR higher than the previous day was recorded in 21 regencies/cities, while 20 regencies/cities recorded a lower BOR.
Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Fakfak, Bima, and Muna, with BORs of 100 percent, 57.14 percent, and 52.5 percent respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
