The Indonesian Ministry of Health reported that 68.66 million doses of booster vaccines had been administered in Indonesia as of Saturday, April 8, 2023. This figure represents 37.82 percent of the national Covid-19 vaccination target of 234.66 million doses. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the daily increase in Covid-19 booster vaccinations yesterday nationwide was recorded at 7,363 doses.
Based on province, West Java still holds the top position nationally with the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, reaching 15.47 million doses. Bogor Regency had the highest number of booster vaccine recipients in West Java, with 1.59 million doses. This is followed by Bandung Regency (1.1 million), Bekasi City (979,630), Bekasi Regency (967,550), Cianjur Regency (912,500), and Bandung City (897,200).
Next is East Java, in second place, with 9.37 million booster vaccines administered. Within this province, Surabaya City has the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, at 1.31 million doses.
Central Java is in third place with 8.56 million booster vaccines administered. This is followed by DKI Jakarta, North Sumatra, and Banten, with 5.34 million, 4.2 million, and 2.99 million booster vaccine recipients, respectively.
