The average years of schooling for residents of Sintang Regency has increased to 7.64 years.

According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the AYS in this region is below the average for West Kalimantan Province, which was 7.71 years in 2023.

The AYS for Sintang residents increased by 0.28 years (3.8%) compared to the previous year, which was 7.36 years. Meanwhile, over the past five years, the AYS has increased by 0.91 years (13.52%).

This AYS indicates that the average Sintang resident only attended school up to the seventh grade. However, this AYS is still below the national average of 8.77 years in 2023.
