The Indonesian Ministry of Health reported that as of Monday, March 20, 2023, 68.59 million doses of booster vaccines had been administered in Indonesia. This figure represents 37.78 percent of the national Covid-19 vaccination target of 234.66 million doses. The daily increase in Covid-19 booster vaccinations nationwide yesterday was recorded at 1,114 doses.
Based on provinces, West Java still holds the top position nationally with the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, reaching 15.46 million doses. Within West Java, Bogor Regency had the highest number of Covid-19 booster vaccine recipients, with 1.59 million doses. Following are Bandung Regency (1.1 million), Bekasi City (979,540), Bekasi Regency (967,240), Cianjur Regency (912,370), and Bandung City (896,600).
East Java is second with 9.35 million doses. Within East Java, Surabaya City had the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, at 1.3 million doses.
Central Java is in third place with 8.54 million booster vaccinations. This is followed by Jakarta, North Sumatra, and Banten, with 5.34 million, 4.19 million, and 2.99 million booster vaccine recipients respectively.
