Several districts/cities in North Sulawesi province still record quite low vaccination rates compared to other regions. Some of these districts/cities include North Minahasa Regency, Minahasa Regency, and Sangihe Islands Regency.
As of Monday, January 17, 2022, these three regions had only completed 346,080 doses of the first vaccine shot out of the expected target of 573,670 vaccine recipients.
North Minahasa Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, this region has completed more than half of its vaccination target, reaching 58.8 percent. This is the lowest rate compared to the other 15 districts/cities. The vaccination program in this regency targets 178,440 participants. The average vaccination rate last week was 585 participants. The available vaccine stock is 10,828 doses.
Next is Minahasa Regency, ranked second lowest. With a vaccination target of 281,600 participants, vaccination in this region has reached 60.1 percent, or 169,280 participants. The average vaccination rate last week was 951 participants. The available vaccine stock is 15,402 doses.
Sangihe Islands Regency is ranked third. With a vaccination target of 113,630 participants, vaccination in this region has reached 63.2 percent, or 71,822 participants. The average vaccination rate last week was 150 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 41,157 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first dose vaccination in North Sulawesi has reached 80.28 percent, covering 1.67 million vaccine recipients. The second dose vaccination has reached 49.02 percent, covering 1.02 million vaccine recipients.
