The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) noted that at least 10 regencies/cities have a bed occupancy rate (BOR) above 60%. Nationally, the average BOR this week is 13.31 percent. This is a decrease compared to last week's figure of 20.15 percent (data as of Thursday, March 24, 2022).
The top five regencies/cities with COVID-19 BOR exceeding 64.43 percent are Buton, Rote Ndao, Jayawijaya, West Sumba, and Sorong, with values of 79.31 percent, 75.38 percent, 67.89 percent, 65.58 percent, and 64.43 percent respectively.
A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that the BOR in most regencies/cities outside Java is declining. A daily BOR higher than the previous day was recorded in 62 regencies/cities, while 223 regencies/cities recorded a lower BOR.
Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Buton, Rote Ndao, and Jayawijaya, with BORs of 79.31 percent, 75.38 percent, and 67.89 percent respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distancing, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
