Several districts/cities in South Sumatra province still record relatively low vaccination rates compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include Empat Lawang Regency, South Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, and East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency.
As of Thursday, October 14, 2021, these three regencies had only completed 185,040 doses of the first vaccine shot out of the targeted 1.07 million vaccine recipients.
Empat Lawang Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, this region has only recorded a 14.91% vaccination rate, the lowest among the other 17 districts/cities. The vaccination program in this regency targets 263,670 participants. The average vaccination rate last week was 195 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently recorded at 11,558 doses.
Next is South Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, ranked second lowest. With a vaccination target of 313,120 participants, only 16.14% or 50,536 participants have been vaccinated.
East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency is ranked third. With a vaccination target of 489,960 participants, only 19.43% or 95,183 participants have been vaccinated.
At the provincial level, the total first dose vaccination in South Sumatra has reached 32.96%, covering 2,080,000 vaccine recipients. The second dose vaccination has reached 19.68%, covering 1,240,000 vaccine recipients.
