The highest increase in confirmed positive Covid-19 cases in NTT is currently in Kupang City, with 24.91 cases per 100,000 population per week as of Sunday, October 2, 2022. This figure is six times higher than the case count in the second-highest area.
The Covid-19 transmission situation in Kupang City does not appear to be improving. This is indicated by the number of cases this week, which is still higher than the previous week's figure of 17.46 cases per 100,000 population per week.
Kupang Regency is next in second place, recording a weekly confirmation rate of 3.92 cases per 100,000 population. Compared to last week's 5.15 cases, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases this week is lower.
Rounding out the top five, besides the two areas above, are Belu, Rote Ndao, and Lembata, recording weekly confirmations of 3.05 cases, 1.56 cases, and 1.32 cases respectively.
According to the Ministry of Health's list, the next five regencies/cities in the top 10 are Manggarai Barat, Sikka, Manggarai, and Sumba Timur. These areas recorded an average increase of over 0.75 cases per 100,000 population.
The good news from this province is that four regencies/cities recorded no increase in confirmed Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population per week.
Other information from today's daily Covid-19 data statistics is that 176 regencies/cities in Indonesia recorded a higher increase compared to last week, and 221 other regencies/cities recorded lower weekly confirmations than the previous week.
In addition, 130 regencies/cities in Indonesia currently report no confirmed Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population per week.
