Several districts/cities in North Sumatra province still record a relatively low level of second dose vaccination compared to other regions. Some of these districts/cities include Simalungun Regency, Deli Serdang Regency, and Langkat Regency.
As of today, in implementing the vaccination program, these three regencies have only completed 2.24 million doses for the second dose vaccination out of the expected target of 3.08 million vaccine recipients.
Simalungun Regency is ranked first. As of yesterday, for the second dose vaccination, this region has recorded 72.19 percent. This figure is the lowest compared to the other 33 districts/cities. Meanwhile, for the first dose achievement, as of today, 84.22 percent has been achieved, or 1.35 million vaccine recipients.
This district/city's vaccination program is planned to target 788,36 thousand participants. According to data from the Ministry of Health, the average vaccination last week in Simalungun was recorded at 7,506 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently recorded at 124,66 thousand doses.
Next is Deli Serdang Regency. For the second dose vaccination, this area is ranked second lowest. With a vaccine target of 1.49 million participants, 72.72 percent or 1.08 million participants have been successfully realized.
The first dose achievement is recorded at 87.21 percent, or 2.62 million vaccine recipients. According to data from the Ministry of Health, the average vaccination last week in Deli Serdang was recorded at 4,372 participants. Currently, the available vaccine stock is 121,53 thousand doses.
Langkat Regency is ranked third. With a vaccine target of 805,35 thousand participants, 73.24 percent or 589,87 thousand participants have been successfully realized for the second dose. According to data from the Ministry of Health, the average vaccination last week in Langkat was recorded at 5,455 participants. Currently, the available vaccine stock is 221,23 thousand doses.
As for the vaccination achievement at the provincial level, the total first dose vaccination in North Sumatra has reached 85.54 percent, or 11.15 million vaccine recipients. Meanwhile, the second dose vaccination is recorded at 73.19 percent, reaching 9.54 million vaccine recipients.
