Iran (Islamic Republic) recorded the highest increase in Covid-19 deaths in Asia, with weekly growth reaching 81.4 percent. In this country, Worldometer recorded 78 deaths, a 5.41 percent increase compared to the previous day.
Following Iran is Saudi Arabia, with weekly death growth reaching 0 percent. The number of deaths in this country was reported as four. However, daily death statistics show a 100% increase compared to the previous day, which was two deaths.
Next, the Philippines recorded 59 deaths (down 1.67%), South Korea saw a 5% decrease in deaths, and Japan a 15.53% decrease.
Looking at the number of reported deaths, the highest number of deaths in the last seven days in Asia occurred in Japan, with 435 deaths. Death reports in this country decreased by 15.53% compared to the previous week. Following Japan, Iran (Islamic Republic) reported 78 deaths (up 81.4%), South Korea recorded 76 deaths (down 5%), the Philippines recorded 59 deaths (down 1.67%), and Israel recorded 26 deaths (down 25.71%).
Total deaths in Asia over the past seven days were recorded at 721. This accounts for 21.76 percent of global deaths caused by the Covid-19 virus, totaling 3,313. The number of deaths in Asia decreased compared to the previous seven-day accumulation, which was 800.
