The polling agency Populi Center released a report titled *The Future of Development and Democracy: Measuring the Commitment of 2024 Presidential Candidates* on Monday, June 26, 2023.
In addition to discussing political issues and general elections, the report also reviews public evaluations of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) services.
According to Populi's survey results, the majority of respondents considered obtaining a Driver's License (SIM) to be the most cumbersome and time-consuming police service.
"When asked to rate the most cumbersome and time-consuming police service, 24.8% of respondents answered obtaining a driver's license," wrote Populi Center in its report.
Reporting cases followed in second place with a percentage of 17.3%.
Still related to vehicles, police services such as vehicle ownership transfers and STNK (Vehicle Registration Certificate) renewals were also considered cumbersome and time-consuming, with proportions of 12.3% and 6.3%, respectively.
On the other hand, 23.3% of respondents refused to answer the survey question.
Populi Center also conducted a survey on public opinion regarding the neutrality of the Polri in the 2024 General Election. The results showed that 70.1% of respondents believe the Polri will act neutrally.
This survey involved 1,200 respondents spread across Indonesia. Respondents were selected using a multistage random sampling method.
Data collection was conducted from June 5-12, 2023, through interviews using the Populi Center application. The survey also has a margin of error of approximately 2.83% and a confidence level of 95%.
