The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 63 regencies/cities with an agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 above the national average, currently recorded at 0.03 per 100,000 population per week, data as of Friday, July 29, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with an agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 exceeding 0.56 per 100,000 population per week are Gorontalo Utara, Samosir, Mamuju Tengah, Banjarbaru City, and Madiun City, with respective values of 0.89, 0.79, 0.71, 0.71, and 0.56 per 100,000 population per week.
The national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 in most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 higher than before was recorded in 26 regencies/cities, while three regencies/cities recorded a lower agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19.
Areas outside Java with the highest agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 include Gorontalo Utara, Samosir, and Mamuju Tengah, with respective rates of 0.89, 0.79, and 0.71 deaths per 100,000 population per week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
