Surabaya City ranked first with the highest number of weekly confirmed positive Covid-19 cases at 4.32 per 100,000 people per week. The number of weekly confirmed positive Covid-19 cases in this city shows improvement, with a decrease compared to the previous week, which recorded 6.25 cases per 100,000 people per week.
Conversely, for Malang City, Ministry of Health data shows a weekly number of confirmed positive Covid-19 cases of 2.25 per 100,000 people per week. This figure is lower than the previous week's 3.17 cases per 100,000 people per week. Next is Madiun City. This city in East Java province recorded 2.24 weekly confirmed positive Covid-19 cases per 100,000 people per week.
Kediri City and Batu City followed, recording 2.04 and 1.86 weekly confirmed positive Covid-19 cases per 100,000 people per week, respectively.
Nationally, the average number of weekly confirmed positive Covid-19 cases across the 34 provinces is now showing a decrease compared to the previous week, which was 1.38 cases per 100,000 people per week.
