Several districts/cities in North Maluku province still record relatively low vaccination rates compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include West Halmahera Regency, Tidore Islands City, and Taliabu Island Regency.
As of Wednesday, February 2, 2022, these three areas had only completed 151,260 doses of the first vaccine shot out of the targeted 230,590 vaccine recipients.
West Halmahera Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, this region has completed 61.03% of its vaccination program. This is the lowest rate among the other 10 districts/cities. The vaccination program in this regency targets 101,990 participants. The average weekly vaccination rate in this area last week was 962 participants. The available vaccine stock is 18,454 doses.
Next is Tidore Islands City. This area has the second-lowest vaccination rate. With a target of 86,996 vaccine recipients, vaccination in this area has reached 68.74%, or 59,799 participants. The average weekly vaccination rate last week was 1,282 participants. The available vaccine stock is 18,910 doses.
Taliabu Island Regency is ranked third. With a target of 41,598 vaccine recipients, vaccination in this area has reached 70.22%, or 29,212 participants. The average weekly vaccination rate last week was 239 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 13,150 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first dose vaccination in North Maluku has reached 65.65%, covering 930,670 vaccine recipients. The second dose vaccination has reached 34.74%, covering 492,460 vaccine recipients.
