The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 130 regencies/cities with an agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 exceeding the national average, currently recorded at 0.1 per 100,000 population per week, data as of Wednesday, December 7, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest agglomeration death rates due to Covid-19, exceeding 1.48 per 100,000 population per week, are Tana Tidung (3.25 per 100,000 population per week), Belitung Timur (1.53 per 100,000 population per week), Kotamobagu (1.49 per 100,000 population per week), Sukamara (1.49 per 100,000 population per week), and Sitaro (1.48 per 100,000 population per week).
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 in most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily agglomeration death rate higher than previously recorded was observed in 16 regencies/cities, while nine regencies/cities recorded a lower agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19.
Areas outside Java with the highest agglomeration death rates due to Covid-19 include Tana Tidung (3.25 per 100,000 population per week), Belitung Timur (1.53 per 100,000 population per week), and Kotamobagu (1.49 per 100,000 population per week).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
