The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 128 districts/cities with a weekly agglomeration of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases above the national average, currently recorded at 0.45 per 100,000 population/week (data as of Friday, March 31, 2023).

A recapitulation of national COVID-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in confirmed positive cases in most districts/cities outside Java. Thirty-two districts/cities recorded higher daily confirmed positive cases than previously, while 14 districts/cities recorded lower confirmed positive cases.
Areas outside Java with the highest confirmed positive rates include Mahakam Ulu, Natuna, and Kayong Utara, with confirmed positive cases of 3.72, 3.65, and 2.53 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
