Brazil ranks first, with a weekly increase in deaths of 128.83 percent. Worldometer recorded 881 deaths in the country, a 7.44 percent increase from the previous day.
Mexico follows, with a weekly growth in deaths reaching 111.3 percent. The country reported 243 deaths. Daily statistics show a 11.47% increase in deaths compared to the previous day's 218 deaths.
Next is Chile with 92 deaths (up 4.55%), Peru with a 7.32% decrease in deaths, and Guatemala with 10 deaths (down 23.08%).
Looking at the number of reported deaths, the highest number of deaths in the Americas over the past seven days occurred in the United States, with 1,101 deaths. This represents a 32.54% decrease compared to the previous week. Following the US, Brazil recorded 881 deaths (up 128.83%), Mexico 243 deaths (up 111.3%), Chile 92 deaths (up 4.55%), and Peru 76 deaths (down 7.32%).
The total number of deaths in the Americas over the past seven days was 2,403. This accounts for 49.21 percent of global Covid-19 deaths, totaling 4,883. The number of deaths in the Americas increased compared to the previous seven-day accumulation of 2,315 deaths.
