The top five, starting from the highest, are Badung, Jayapura City, Manokwari, Mimika, and Central Jakarta City, with ratios of 0.85 thousand percent, 816.88 percent, 768.57 percent, 767.86 percent, and 695.64 percent, respectively.
Badung is ranked first. With a population of 727,950, the weekly testing percentage is recorded at 0.85 thousand percent. The latest positive rate is 0.69 percent. The positive rate in this region has decreased compared to the previous week's percentage.
Next is Jayapura City. The region's population is 309,760. In an effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, the weekly testing percentage is 816.88 percent. The positive rate in this region is 0.12 percent, also down from the previous week.
Then, Manokwari, with a population of 176,240, has a weekly testing percentage of 768.57 percent; Mimika, with a population of 221,810, has a weekly testing percentage of 767.86 percent; and Central Jakarta City has a weekly testing percentage of 695.64 percent.
Anticipating the impact of Omicron in various regions, based on the national Covid-19 data recapitulation, 118 regencies/cities in Indonesia actively reported higher daily weekly testing percentages than before. Meanwhile, 272 other regencies/cities recorded lower weekly testing percentages compared to the previous week.
Regions outside Java with the highest weekly testing percentage ratios include Badung, Jayapura City, and Manokwari, with weekly testing percentages of 0.85 thousand percent, 816.88 percent, and 768.57 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to continue reducing Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
