The Ministry of Health released data showing that 68.59 million doses of booster vaccines have been administered in Indonesia as of Tuesday, March 21, 2023. This figure represents 37.78 percent of the national COVID-19 vaccination target of 234.66 million doses. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the daily increase in COVID-19 booster vaccinations yesterday nationwide was recorded at 1,114 doses.
Based on province, West Java still holds the top position nationally with the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, reaching 15.46 million doses. Within West Java, Bogor Regency has the highest number of people who have received the COVID-19 booster vaccine, with 1.59 million doses. This is followed by Bandung Regency (1.1 million doses), Bekasi City (979,540 doses), Bekasi Regency (967,240 doses), Cianjur Regency (912,370 doses), and Bandung City (896,600 doses).
East Java is in second place nationally with 9.35 million booster vaccine doses administered. Within this province, Surabaya City has the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, with 1.3 million doses.
Central Java is in third place with 8.54 million booster vaccine doses administered. This is followed by Jakarta, North Sumatra, and Banten, with 5.34 million, 4.19 million, and 2.99 million booster vaccine recipients respectively.
