West Sumatra's first dose vaccination coverage reached 83.98 percent on Saturday, August 13, 2022. This figure is equivalent to 4.18 million vaccine recipients out of a target of 4.97 million people. Meanwhile, the second dose vaccination has reached 66 percent of the target as of yesterday.
Based on target groups, the details of the vaccination to combat the Covid-19 virus in this province are as follows: the health workforce group with a target of 32,390 recipients. For the first dose, vaccination was successfully carried out for 32,390 people (135.03 percent of the target), and for the second dose, 131.21 percent or 42,500 people were vaccinated.
Vaccination for public officials targeted 400,270 people. The first dose vaccination reportedly reached 259,910 people (64.93 percent of the target), and the second dose reached 59.59 percent, or 238,510 people.
Then, vaccination for the elderly targeted 489,570 people. For the first dose, it was administered to 511,390 people (104.46 percent of the target). For the second dose, only 80.15 percent, or 392,390 people, were vaccinated.
Vaccination for the vulnerable general public targeted 2.9 million people. For the first dose, vaccination was reportedly administered to 2.51 million people (86.93 percent of the target). For the second dose, only 68.72 percent, or 1.99 million people, were vaccinated.
Another target group is adolescents aged 12-17 years. In this region, the target set was 589,720 people. For the first dose, it was administered to 595,000 people (100.9 percent of the target). The second dose reached 84.53 percent, or 498,480 people.
