Several districts/cities in West Java province still record a relatively low level of second-dose vaccination compared to other regions. Some of these districts/cities include Tasikmalaya Regency, Garut Regency, and Ciamis Regency.
As of yesterday, in the vaccination program, these three regencies had only completed 2.13 million second doses out of the expected target of 4.46 million vaccine recipients.
Tasikmalaya Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, the second-dose vaccination in this region only reached 46.49%. This is the lowest compared to the other 27 districts/cities. Meanwhile, the first-dose vaccination has reached 76.09%, or 1.83 million vaccine recipients.
The vaccination program in this district/city targets 1.48 million participants. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average vaccination last week in Tasikmalaya was 12,763 participants. The current vaccine stock is 84,730 doses.
Next is Garut Regency. For the second dose, this region has the second-lowest rate. With a target of 1.98 million vaccine recipients, only 47.64% or 942,190 recipients have been vaccinated.
The first-dose vaccination has reached 74.67%, or 2.45 million vaccine recipients. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average vaccination last week in Garut was 8,008 participants. The currently available vaccine stock is 228,960 doses.
Following is Ciamis Regency, ranked third. With a target of 998,030 vaccine recipients, 50.23% or 501,300 recipients have received the second dose. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average vaccination last week in Ciamis was 3,522 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is 95,417 doses.
Regarding the provincial-level vaccination achievement, the total first-dose vaccination in West Java has reached 88.71%, or 33.63 million vaccine recipients. The second-dose vaccination has reached 67.3%, covering 25.51 million vaccine recipients.
