Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest National Tracing Rates (Sunday, May 22, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 95 regencies/cities with weekly tracing rates above the national average, currently recorded at 2.46 percent as of Sunday, May 22, 2022.

The top five regencies/cities with tracing rates exceeding 25 percent are Cianjur, Semarang City, Sukabumi, Surabaya City, and Medan City, with values of 34 percent, 32.33 percent, 26 percent, 25.8 percent, and 25 percent respectively.

A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that tracing in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. Daily tracing figures higher than previous days were recorded in three regencies/cities, while six regencies/cities recorded lower tracing rates.

Areas outside Java with the highest tracing rates include Medan City, South Lampung, and Dompu, with tracing rates of 25 percent, 21 percent, and 20 percent respectively.

Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distancing, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
