The Indonesian Ministry of Health reported that 69.29 million doses of booster vaccines had been administered in Indonesia as of Friday, January 27, 2023. This figure represents 29.53 percent of the national COVID-19 vaccination target. The national COVID-19 vaccination target is recorded at 234.66 million doses. The daily increase in COVID-19 booster vaccinations nationwide yesterday was recorded at 9,987 doses.
By province, West Java still holds the top position nationally with the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, reaching 15.72 million doses. In West Java, Bogor Regency had the highest number of residents receiving the COVID-19 booster vaccine, with 1.62 million doses. This is followed by Bandung Regency (1.12 million), Bekasi City (1 million), Bekasi Regency (994,500), Cianjur Regency (928,880), and Bandung City (908,380).
Next is East Java, in second place, with 9.37 million booster vaccines administered. In this province, Surabaya City has the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, at 1.31 million doses.
Central Java is in third place with 8.62 million booster vaccines administered. This is followed by North Sumatra, Banten, and Bali, with 3.8 million, 3.03 million, and 1.97 million booster vaccine recipients, respectively.
