The Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) has determined that there will be 598 flight groups (kloter) for Indonesian Hajj pilgrims in 2024.
The highest number of flights will depart from Juanda Surabaya Airport.
The following is a breakdown of the number of Indonesian Hajj flight groups in 2024 based on their embarkation area or departure point:
1. Surabaya (SUB): 115 flight groups
2. Solo (SOC): 105 flight groups
3. Jakarta Bekasi (JKS): 75 flight groups
4. Jakarta Pondok Gede (JKG): 68 flight groups
5. Ujung Pandang (UPG): 45 flight groups
6. Batam (BTH): 33 flight groups
7. Kertajati (KJT): 30 flight groups
8. Palembang (PLM): 25 flight groups
9. Kualanamu (KNO): 23 flight groups
10. Padang (PDG): 18 flight groups
11. Balikpapan (BPN): 18 flight groups
12. Banjarmasin (BDJ): 17 flight groups
13. Banda Aceh (BTJ): 13 flight groups
14. Lombok (LOP): 13 flight groups
Director General of Hajj and Umrah Organization Kemenag, Hilman Latief, stated that the operational period for the departure of prospective Hajj pilgrims in 1445 Hijriah/2024 Masehi will last for 30 days, from May 12th to June 14th, 2024.
Departures will be divided into two waves. The first wave, departing for Medina, will be from May 12th to May 23rd, 2024.
The second wave, departing for Jeddah, will be from May 24th to June 10th, 2024.
The return operational period is also scheduled to take place in two waves, over 30 days from June 22nd to July 21st, 2024.
The first wave of returns from Jeddah to Indonesia will be from June 22nd to July 3rd, 2024, and the second wave of returns from Medina will be from July 4th to July 21st, 2024.
