As of Sunday, May 8, 2022, West Sumatra Province has achieved 93.01% coverage for the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. This equates to 4.1 million vaccine recipients out of a target of 4.41 million people. The second dose vaccination has reached 71.07% of the target.
By target group, the vaccination details to combat the COVID-19 virus in this province are as follows: The health workforce target was 32,390 recipients. For the first dose, 32,390 people were vaccinated (134.42% of the target), and for the second dose, 129.97% or 42,100 people were vaccinated.
For public sector workers, the target was 400,270 people. The first dose vaccination reached 256,980 people (64.2% of the target), and the second dose reached 58.61%, or 234,610 people.
For the elderly, the target was 489,570 people. The first dose was administered to 502,190 people (102.58% of the target). The second dose reached 75.66%, or 370,410 people.
For the vulnerable general public, the target was 2.9 million people. The first dose was administered to 2.47 million people (85.27% of the target). The second dose reached 65.23%, or 1.89 million people.
For adolescents aged 12-17 years, the target was 589,720 people. The first dose was administered to 589,710 people (100% of the target). The second dose reached 83.46%, or 492,200 people.
