The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 131 districts/cities with weekly agglomeration tracing above the national average, currently recorded at 3.25 percent as of Friday, September 2, 2022.
The top five districts/cities with tracing rates exceeding 21 percent are Metro City, Situbondo, Pasuruan City, Semarang City, and Semarang Regency, with values of 30 percent, 23 percent, 21 percent, 21 percent, and 21 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in tracing in most districts/cities outside Java. A daily tracing rate higher than before was recorded in 29 districts/cities, while 23 districts/cities recorded lower tracing rates.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest tracing rates include Metro City, South Tapanuli, and Balikpapan City, with tracing rates of 30 percent, 20 percent, and 20 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
