The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 23 districts/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 0.54 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Tuesday, June 14, 2022.
The five districts/cities with the highest inpatient use, exceeding 2.81 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Sorong, Kepulauan Seribu, Teluk Bintuni, Central Jakarta, and South Jakarta, with values of 4.16 patients per 100,000 population/week, 3.83 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2.89 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2.85 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 2.81 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient use in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily inpatient use higher than before was recorded in one district/city, while eight districts/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Sorong, Teluk Bintuni, and Sitaro, with inpatient use of 4.16 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2.89 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 1.48 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
