New Record, Daily Covid-19 Recoveries Reach 21,185 People

The number of COVID-19 patients who recovered increased by 21,185 on Thursday, June 8, 2021. This is the highest number since the coronavirus pandemic began in Indonesia.

Consequently, the total number of recovered coronavirus patients reached 1,994,573 today. This is equivalent to 82% of the total positive coronavirus cases, which reached 2,417,788.

Meanwhile, 359,455 people are still undergoing treatment for coronavirus infection, or 14.9% of the total cases. The number of deaths due to coronavirus reached 63,760, or 2.6% of the total cases.

Efforts to cure those infected with coronavirus continue. One of these is providing free telemedicine services for coronavirus patients with mild or asymptomatic symptoms in Jakarta.

Through this service, coronavirus patients with mild or asymptomatic symptoms in Jakarta can consult via 11 telemedicine services. Afterwards, patients can receive free medication from the Ministry of Health based on their symptoms.

Despite this service, the public still needs to prevent the spread of coronavirus. This can be done by diligently implementing the 3M health protocol: wearing a mask, maintaining distance, and washing hands with soap.
