The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 102 districts/cities with a number of deaths due to Covid-19 above the national average, currently recorded at 0.07 per 100,000 population per week, data as of Friday, November 4, 2022.
The five districts/cities with the highest number of Covid-19 deaths, exceeding 0.86 per 100,000 population per week, are Kulon Progo (1.79 per 100,000 population per week), Surakarta (1.15 per 100,000 population per week), Aceh Jaya (1.03 per 100,000 population per week), Buleleng (0.89 per 100,000 population per week), and Bengkulu Tengah (0.86 per 100,000 population per week).
The national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the number of deaths due to Covid-19 in most districts/cities outside Java. Eight districts/cities recorded a higher daily number of Covid-19 deaths than before, while seven districts/cities recorded a lower number.
Areas outside Java with the highest number of Covid-19 deaths include Aceh Jaya (1.03 per 100,000 population per week), Buleleng (0.89 per 100,000 population per week), and Bengkulu Tengah (0.86 per 100,000 population per week).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
