The number of recipients of the third dose of the vaccine, also known as the booster, in Indonesia continues to increase. Based on a report from the Ministry of Health, there were 64.33 million recipients of the booster vaccine in Indonesia as of 6 PM WIB on October 16, 2022.
This number has reached 27.42% of the national Covid-19 vaccination target. The national Covid-19 vaccination target is recorded as 234.66 million people.
By province, West Java still holds the top position with the highest number of booster vaccine recipients nationally, reaching 15.17 million people.
The highest number of West Java residents who have received the Covid-19 booster vaccine is in Bogor Regency, with 1.57 million people. This is followed by Bandung Regency and Bekasi Regency, with 1.09 million and 952,670 booster vaccine recipients, respectively.
The booster vaccination achievement in East Java is in second place nationally, with 8.3 million people. In this province, Surabaya City has the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, namely 1.23 million people.
Central Java is in third place with a booster vaccine achievement of 8.12 million people. This is followed by Jakarta, North Sumatra, and Banten, with 5.08 million, 4 million, and 2.89 million booster vaccine recipients, respectively.
