The highest increase in confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in Southeast Sulawesi currently occurred in Bau Bau city, with 6.31 cases per 100,000 population per week as of Tuesday, September 27, 2022. This figure is more than double the number of cases in the second-highest region.
The COVID-19 transmission situation in Bau Bau city appears to be unimproved. This is indicated by the number of cases this week, which is still higher than the previous week's figure of 3.44 cases per 100,000 population per week.
Next in second place is North Konawe. This region recorded a weekly confirmation rate of 3.03 cases per 100,000 population. Compared to last week, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases this week is still higher, meaning there is no visible improvement.
In the top five, besides the two regions above, are Buton, South Buton, and Kendari city. Each recorded weekly confirmations of 2.92 cases, 2.49 cases, and 1.94 cases, respectively.
