The highest increase in confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in Central Kalimantan is currently in Palangkaraya City, with 10.82 cases per 100,000 population per week as of Tuesday, September 13, 2022. This figure is two cases higher than the second-highest region.
However, despite being the highest, the number of COVID-19 transmissions in Palangkaraya City has decreased compared to the previous week, which was at 14.88 cases per 100,000 population per week.
Next in second place is Murung Raya Regency. This regency recorded a weekly confirmation rate of eight cases per 100,000 population. Compared to the previous week, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases this week is still higher, meaning there is no improvement yet.
Also in the top five, besides the two regions above, are Barito Timur, Gunung Mas, and Barito Selatan Regencies. Each recorded weekly confirmations of six, five, and four cases respectively.
