Several districts in Jakarta, DKI Jakarta province, still record relatively low second-dose vaccination rates compared to other areas. These include East Jakarta, West Jakarta, and North Jakarta administrative cities.
As of yesterday, the three cities had only completed 5.56 million second doses out of the targeted 5.73 million vaccine recipients in the vaccination program.
East Jakarta is ranked lowest. As of yesterday, the second-dose vaccination rate in this region reached 87.71%, the lowest among the six cities. The first-dose vaccination rate, however, reached 103.79%, with 4.84 million vaccine recipients.
The vaccination program in this city targets 2.4 million participants.
Next is West Jakarta. This area has the second-lowest second-dose vaccination rate. With a target of 1.93 million vaccine recipients, 98.68% or 1.91 million recipients have been vaccinated.
The first-dose vaccination rate stands at 106.59%, with 4.15 million vaccine recipients.
Finally, North Jakarta is ranked third. With a target of 1.4 million vaccine recipients, the second-dose vaccination rate reached 110.44%, with 1.55 million recipients.
At the provincial level, the total first-dose vaccination rate in DKI Jakarta has reached 147.59%, with 12.39 million vaccine recipients. The second-dose vaccination rate is 123.38%, reaching 10.36 million vaccine recipients.
